Remove a Product from a TPV Ticket

Explains how an operator removes one editable product line from an existing TPV ticket, confirms the destructive action, and checks that Antylogic returns the ticket with refreshed items, totals, and payment state.

In this article

Use this guide when an incorrect product has been added to an open Harbor Soho TPV ticket and the line needs to be removed before service or payment continues.

Deleting the product physically removes the ticket item rather than marking it as cancelled. For screenshots or walkthroughs, use only a disposable or restorable documentation ticket.

Before you start

  • Work in Harbor Demo Group at Harbor Soho with access to the TPV surface.
  • Use an editable TPV ticket with at least two visible product lines, ideally Fish and chips as the line to remove and Sticky toffee pudding as the line that remains.
  • The ticket must not be void or closed.
  • If KDS is enabled, the product line must not be in sent, preparing, or ready.
  • For captures, use the GB documentation runtime. If TPV_TICKET_ID is not editable, create a temporary ticket only in that runtime and record the setup gap.

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Open the TPV ticket

Open the ticket from the TPV floor or ticket list and check that the header, product lines, and current totals are visible before making any change.

  2. 2.

    Choose the product

Select the product row or open the quick item editor, then choose Delete product for the line that should be removed from the account.

  3. 3.

    Confirm deletion

Review the confirmation modal, check the product name, and choose Delete only if the line should be removed. Cancel closes the modal and leaves the ticket unchanged.

  4. 4.

    Review the recalculated ticket

After confirmation, the product line disappears and the returned TicketDetail refreshes the remaining items, subtotal, tax, total, and payment state.

Validations and limits

  • Delete product is unavailable while another item mutation is running.
  • The UI blocks deletion on void and closed tickets.
  • When KDS is enabled, the UI blocks deletion for items in sent, preparing, or ready.
  • If deletion fails, the optimistic removal is reverted and the operator sees the delete error message.
  • The backend explicitly rejects void tickets; closed-ticket and KDS editability checks are enforced by the UI in the observed flow.
  • Do not run this capture on a paid, invoiced, production, or non-restorable ticket.

Expected result

The selected product is removed from the ticket, the remaining products stay visible, and the ticket returns with recalculated totals ready for the next TPV action.
