Copy Public Booking URL

Copy Harbor Soho's public booking link from the Public web settings. The action writes the generated URL to the clipboard and does not save settings or call the API when the operator presses Copy URL.

In this article

Use this guide when an operator needs to share the Harbor Soho booking link on the restaurant website, social profiles, or QR materials without changing publication settings.

The URL is generated from the selected organisation and location IDs. Antylogic loads the location before showing the Public URL card, then the copy button works locally through the runtime clipboard.

Before you start

  • The operator is signed in with Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho selected in the app context.
  • The operator can open `/:orgId/:locationId/location/optimization-configs?tab=public-booking` and see the Public web tab.
  • The location role includes `reservation-automatic:use`; otherwise the settings page returns to the Optimiser tab.
  • The operator has either `location:view` or `location:manage` so the public booking settings can load.
  • The browser or device exposes `navigator.clipboard.writeText` or `globalThis.Clipboard.setString`.

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Open Public Web Settings

Open the Reservations settings for Harbor Soho at `/:orgId/:locationId/location/optimization-configs?tab=public-booking` and select Public web. If `reservation-automatic:use` is missing, the Public web tab is not mounted.

  2. 2.

    Check The Public URL Card

Wait for the settings to load, then review the read-only Link field inside the Public URL card. The displayed URL is generated from `orgId` and `locationId`, not from `namespace_code`, and the copied implementation route is `/:orgId/:locationId/booking`.

  3. 3.

    Copy The URL

Press Copy URL. Antylogic sends the generated link to the clipboard helper with the id `public-booking-url`; the action does not send a `PUT`, update `location`, or call a copy-specific backend endpoint.

  4. 4.

    Confirm The Toast

After a successful copy, the app shows URL copied with the message that the public URL has been copied to the clipboard. If clipboard access is unavailable or fails, the app shows the copy error toast and leaves data unchanged.

  5. 5.

    Share The Link

Paste the copied link into the restaurant website, booking button, social profile, or QR workflow. The link can be copied even when public booking is disabled, but customers can only use the public surface when publication is effectively enabled for the location.

Validations and limits

  • The settings screen loads the location with `GET /api/app/{orgId}/locations/{locationId}` before showing the card.
  • The Copy URL button is disabled when the generated URL is empty.
  • `buildPublicBookingUrl` applies `encodeURIComponent` to `orgId` and `locationId`.
  • The clipboard helper first tries `navigator.clipboard.writeText` and then falls back to `globalThis.Clipboard.setString`.
  • Operators with `location:view` can copy the URL, but cannot change publication or table preference toggles without `location:manage`.
  • The route `/:orgId/:locationId/reservar` is accepted as a navigation alias, but it is not the route copied by this action.
  • Copying the URL does not verify whether the public page will currently return a working booking surface.

Expected result

Harbor Soho's public booking URL is on the clipboard, ready to share across public channels, with no change to location settings or backend records.
