Select a POS staff member

Choose the staff member operating the POS at Harbor Soho when staff access is in selector mode. The selector only shows active staff with an active selector credential and then uses that person as the operator context for later POS work.

Selector mode is a lightweight staff allowlist for the POS. When Harbor Soho has an active service session and no operator selected, Antylogic opens the staff selector before the floor workspace can continue.

For the GB demo, Olivia Hart is the expected operator. Choosing her does not submit a PIN, card or selector API call; it sets the selected staff member in the POS screen so later ticket, cash register and terminal actions can carry the right staff context.

Before you start

  • Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho are selected.
  • Harbor Soho has an active service session, such as the Soho lunch service.
  • Staff access is in selector mode, or the location is using the backend default selector mode.
  • Olivia Hart is an active staff member at Harbor Soho and has an active staff_tpv_credential with credential_type selector.
  • The operator can use the POS and can load the staff and staff TPV credential lists needed to build the selector.

Instructions

    Open the POS floor

    Open the Harbor Soho POS floor from ${APP_DEEPLINK_BASE}${ORG_ID}/${LOCATION_ID}/tpv?tab=floor. With an active service session, selector mode, and no selected operator, the modal titled Selecciona el empleado opens before the floor can be used.

    Review the available staff

    The selector list is built from Harbor Soho staff plus active selector credentials. Deleted staff and staff without active selector access are excluded; if nobody qualifies, the modal explains that no selector credentials are configured for POS access.

    Select Olivia Hart

    Tap Olivia Hart. The modal closes, local_ui_state.selectedEmployeeId is set to her staff id, and the POS header keeps her visible as the active operator.

    Continue or change operator

    Continue operating the POS. Later ticket, cash register and terminal actions can use Olivia Hart as the staff context. To change operator, tap the staff avatar or name in the POS header and choose another available staff card.

Validations and limits

  • This guide applies only to selector mode; PIN and card modes use separate POS authentication flows.
  • There is no POST /api/app/{orgId}/{locationId}/tpv-auth/selector endpoint; selector mode does not call the card or PIN auth endpoint.
  • The selector list is limited to non-deleted staff with active staff_tpv_credentials where credential_type=selector and is_active=true.
  • The selector cannot be dismissed while staff selection is required and no operator has been selected.
  • Selecting a staff member does not check a PIN, card or secret, does not persist a staff login session, and does not update staff_tpv_credentials.last_used_at.
  • If Harbor Soho has no active service_session, the staff selector is not forced.
  • If the selected staff member is later deleted, loses selector access or disappears from the selectable list, the screen clears selectedEmployeeId and asks again when selection is required.
  • If the operator can open the POS but cannot read staff or staff TPV credentials, the selector cannot build the permitted staff list.

Expected result

Harbor Soho POS continues with Olivia Hart selected as the local operator context, and subsequent POS work can attribute staff-related actions to that staff member.
