Create a Free POS Ticket
Create a pending POS account for Harbor Soho without assigning it to a table. The operator enters the number of guests, and Antylogic opens a ticket in the active service for later products, payment or printing.
In this article
Use this guide when staff need to start a bill for guests who are not tied to a floor-plan table.
In Antylogic, a free account is not a separate ticket type. It is a standard pending ticket from the active service, with no table assignments and not marked as a fast-sale ticket.
Before you start
- Harbor Soho is selected in the app.
- An active service session exists. If there is no active service, the POS workspace shows the no-active-service state and offers Open service.
- The operator can use the POS for the location. If employee identification is required, select the staff member first, for example Olivia Hart.
- For the GB demo runtime, open the POS with ORG_ID, LOCATION_ID and TPV_TERMINAL_ID. Use TPV_STAFF_ID and TPV_STAFF_NAME when the screen requires an employee.
Instructions
- 1.
Open the Accounts tab
Open Harbor Soho POS on the Accounts tab. This tab lists tickets from the active service that have no assigned tables and are not fast-sale tickets.
- 2.
Start a new account
Select Create an account from the Accounts toolbar. The Create account modal opens with Number of people set to 1 and no table selected.
- 3.
Enter the number of guests
Enter a positive whole number in Number of people. The app accepts numeric input only and stops the ticket from being created if the field is empty, zero or invalid.
- 4.
Create the ticket
Confirm with Create ticket. The app sends party_size, the active service_session_id and the selected staff_id when staff identification is active. It does not send table_id or table_ids.
- 5.
Continue from the ticket detail
After creation, Antylogic closes the modal, shows the success state and opens the new ticket detail from the Accounts tab. The ticket is pending, standard and ready for later product, payment or printing actions.
Validations and limits
- The workspace is available only when there is an active service session and the operator has POS access for the location.
- Normal POS users must create the ticket against the active service session for the location; users with ticket management access can create through the wider ticket permission path.
- A direct API call with party_size <= 0 is normalised to 1 by the backend, but the UI blocks that input before sending the request.
- If any table is sent in table_id or table_ids, the ticket belongs to the table-ticket flow and no longer appears as a free account.
- This action creates the base ticket only. It does not add ticket items, take payment, print receipts, create invoices or open a cash register.
Expected result
The result is a pending standard ticket in the active service session, optionally linked to the selected staff member, with no table assignments. It remains visible in Accounts because it is not a fast-sale ticket and has no tables.
