Open a ticket attachment
Open, download or preview an attached file from the conversation of a Reports and feedback ticket. The app uses the attachment identifier to retrieve the file with the authenticated session, both from My tickets and from the support inbox when the user has access.
In this article
This guide focuses on the moment when the user is already inside a ticket detail and needs to consult a PDF, an image or another attached file. Antylogic shows the attachment as a card or preview inside the conversation.
The file is served through `GET /api/app/files/{fileId}`. The route requires a session, keeps metadata such as name and content type, and does not modify the ticket or the file.
Before you start
- You are signed in to Antylogic.
- The ticket exists and you can open it from `/my-reports/{reportId}`; in support, from `/support-requests/{reportId}` with `user-reports:manage`.
- The conversation includes at least one visible attachment.
- The attachment has a valid file identifier in its metadata.
Instructions
- 1.
Open the ticket detail
Enter Reports and feedback and open the ticket that contains the file. The screen loads the conversation and shows the attachments associated with the initial message or with the ticket replies.
- 2.
Locate the attachment
Look for the file card or preview inside the conversation. Images may be shown inline; other formats appear with name, size and a badge such as PDF, IMG, DOC, XLS, ZIP or FILE.
- 3.
Press the card or preview
Press the attachment to start opening it. On web, Antylogic tries to open the file in a new tab or download it with a temporary link; on iOS it can preview PDF inside the app; on Android or other native environments it downloads to cache and uses the available viewer.
- 4.
Confirm the opened file
Check that the file opens, downloads or is shown in the corresponding viewer. The visible name, type and size come from the file metadata when available.
- 5.
Use the same flow from support
From `/support-requests/{reportId}`, support opens the same conversation and uses the same attachment mechanism. The difference is the permission to enter the inbox, not a different file download.
Validations and limits
- If `reportId` is empty, the detail shows an error and does not try to load the ticket.
- The attachment card is disabled if there is no open action or if `attachment.id` is empty.
- Opening uses `GET /api/app/files/{fileId}` with an authenticated session.
- If the file identifier is missing, the app throws `Missing attachment file id`; if it cannot build the URL, it throws `Missing attachment file url`.
- The embedded PDF preview only applies on iOS and only to PDF attachments detected by type or extension.
- If the metadata or the stored object is missing, the backend responds `404 archivo no encontrado`; if the file service is not configured, it responds `501 servicio de ficheros no configurado`.
- `GET /api/app/files/{fileId}` requires authentication, but it does not re-validate that the file belongs to the `reportId`, the owner, the organisation or the location.
- The action is read-only: it does not modify tickets, messages, metadata or the stored file.
Expected result
The user can consult the ticket attachment from the conversation and Antylogic retrieves the authenticated file with its available metadata, without altering the ticket or the stored content.
