Open a related public article
Use the Related articles block below a public Docs article to open another guide from the same section. The list is generated from the loaded public Docs index and is not curated manually.
In this article
This guide shows how a public visitor can continue from the English article `Create an organisation role` to another guide in the same Access section without signing in.
The related list is derived from `/api/public/docs`: the current article is removed, the first three remaining articles from the section are shown, and each link opens a canonical `/docs/...` route.
Before you start
- Open `/docs/access/en-create-organization-role?lang=en` for English captures; the landing default language is Spanish.
- The landing app can reach the public API base URL for `/api/public/docs`.
- The current article exists in the loaded English index, and the Access section contains at least one other article.
- No login, organisation membership, location permission or Harbor Demo Group data is required for this public read-only action.
Instructions
- 1.
Open the starting public article
Open `/docs/access/en-create-organization-role?lang=en` and confirm the article title is `Create an organisation role`. The page loads the public Docs index and article detail for the resolved locale, platform and theme.
- 2.
Find the related list
Scroll below the article content until `Related articles` appears. The list is built from other articles in the same Access section and excludes the current article.
- 3.
Open a related guide
Select `Create an Internal Location User`. The browser navigates to `/docs/access/en-access-users-create-location-internal` and reloads the public article detail for that destination.
- 4.
Check the destination article
After the destination article loads, confirm that it has its own Related articles block and that `Create an Internal Location User` is not listed as a related link to itself.
Validations and limits
- The article detail is visible without a sign-in prompt.
- For the inspected English bundle, the starting article's related list includes `Create an Internal Location User`, `How to review user roles` and `Respond to an organisation invitation`.
- At most three related articles are shown.
- Related links always use canonical `/docs/{section_slug}/{slug}` URLs, even when the visitor starts from `/manual` or `/wiki`.
- If the index or destination detail request fails, the page shows the Docs error state and does not render stale related links.
Expected result
The visitor opens a related public Docs article through a canonical `/docs` route, with the destination article body and next related list loaded from the public Docs API.
