Open Public Docs Index
Open the public documentation area from the landing site through /docs, /manual, or /wiki. The screen loads the public Docs index without requiring an app login, then automatically opens the first available article on the canonical /docs/{section_slug}/{slug} route once the index has loaded.
In this article
Use this guide when you need to verify or capture the public documentation entry point in the GB English landing runtime.
This is a public, read-only documentation flow. It does not require Harbor Demo Group, Harbor Soho, bookings, tickets, staff, catalogues, or an authenticated Antylogic session.
Before you start
- The landing site is reachable, for example through APP_WEB_URL in the GB demo runtime.
- PUBLIC_API_BASE_URL points to a backend that exposes /api/public/docs; local landing hosts default this to http://localhost:8081.
- The backend Docs content service has a docs bundle available, currently backed by backend/docs-content/articles.json in the inspected repository.
- For an English GB capture, open /docs?lang=en or use an English browser language so the public Docs language resolves to English.
Instructions
- 1.
Open The Docs Route
From the public landing site, choose Docs in the header or enter /docs directly in the browser. Direct /manual and /wiki URLs open the same public Docs screen.
- 2.
Wait For The Index To Load
The screen opens the Docs shell, detects the platform view, and requests the public index using the resolved language, platform, and theme. While loading, the Docs header, search area, guide count area, loading state, and platform selector remain visible.
- 3.
Check The Loaded Sections
After the index loads, the screen lists documentation sections and article summaries. On desktop, use the sidebar; on smaller screens, open the Docs sections panel. The visible search box filters the loaded summaries locally.
- 4.
Confirm The Automatic Article Open
A bare /docs, /manual, or /wiki route is not kept as a standalone category page when articles exist. Once summaries are available, the screen selects the first article and replaces the browser URL with /docs/{section_slug}/{slug}.
Validations and limits
- No authenticated Antylogic session, organisation membership, location membership, or role permission is needed.
- The Docs navigation item is active for /docs, /manual, and /wiki.
- The public request uses GET /api/public/docs with locale, platform, and theme query values.
- The platform selector only allows mobile, tablet, or web.
- If the index has no articles, the screen shows the empty Docs state and does not fetch an article detail.
Expected result
The public Docs surface is loaded in English, index content is visible, and the route hands off from the bare entry URL to the first canonical /docs article route when article summaries exist.
