Open Public Help Links
Use the desktop Docs sidebar to leave public Docs through fixed landing routes: `Go to FAQ` opens `/faq`, and `Back to home` opens `/`. The action is public, read-only, and does not require a demo session or an authenticated app user.
In this article
Public Docs visitors can leave the Docs screen from the desktop sidebar footer without signing in or changing any business data.
The links always point to the landing FAQ and home routes. They do not preserve the current Docs search, selected article, platform, theme, or query parameters.
Before you start
- Open a public Docs route that renders `WikiScreen`, such as `/docs`, `/manual`, `/wiki`, or a Docs article URL.
- Use a desktop-width viewport. These links are inside the desktop sidebar and are not available in the mobile Docs drawer.
- For English GB captures, open `/docs?lang=en` so the sidebar labels resolve to `Go to FAQ` and `Back to home`.
Instructions
- 1.
Open Docs On Desktop
Open `/docs?lang=en` and wait for the Docs screen to render. In the left sidebar footer, locate the help links below the Docs navigation list.
- 2.
Open The FAQ
Select `Go to FAQ`. The landing app changes to the fixed `/faq` route, scrolls to the top when there is no hash, and loads the public FAQ screen.
- 3.
Return To The Home Page
Open Docs again on desktop, then select `Back to home` from the same sidebar footer. The landing app changes to `/` and loads the public home screen.
Validations and limits
- The action is public and read-only; it creates, updates, or deletes no persistent data.
- The click itself sends no Docs API payload and performs no form validation.
- The links do not open the authenticated app, Reports and feedback, email, or an external support channel.
- The `/faq` source copy is Spanish in the repository, so English FAQ display may depend on the landing Google Translate integration at runtime.
Expected result
The visitor leaves public Docs through a fixed landing route: either the FAQ screen at `/faq` or the home screen at `/`.
