Create Product
Create a sellable product in the active organisation or location catalogue, with price, product type and tax category ready for service.
In this article
Use this guide when a catalogue operator needs to add a sellable item for Harbor Soho or for the wider Harbor Demo Group.
The product is saved where it is created: Harbor Soho location products and Harbor Demo Group organisation products are separate.
Before you start
- Harbor Demo Group is selected. For location-level creation, Harbor Soho is also selected.
- You have catalog:manage permission where the product will be created.
- At least one Product type exists in the same exact organisation or location level.
- A Tax category is available in the tax-category list.
- An image is optional. If used, it is uploaded before the product is saved.
Instructions
- 1.
Open Products
Open the catalogue manager and switch to the Products tab. The Create Product action is available only to users who can manage catalogues in the current level.
- 2.
Start Creation
Select Create Product. The app opens a blank product form without an existing product id. The same form is available at location level and organisation level.
- 3.
Complete Required Fields
Enter a non-empty name, enter a price greater than 0, then choose a Product type and Tax category. Product type choices are limited to the current exact level.
- 4.
Add Optional Details
Add short name, description, colour, image, allergens, specifications or kitchen handling only when they help operations. Turn on Requires kitchen when the item should appear in kitchen flow and KDS handling.
- 5.
Save And Return
Save once the form is changed and valid. Antylogic creates the product, refreshes the Products list and returns to the relevant catalogue list.
Validations and limits
- A Harbor Soho product is separate from a Harbor Demo Group organisation product.
- Creating a product does not automatically add it to a menu or catalogue. Catalogue assignment is handled separately.
- The UI requires Product type and Tax category before save.
- Do not use 0 as the price. It can parse in the form but is rejected when saved.
- Product names must be unique inside the selected organisation or location level.
Expected result
The new product exists in the selected catalogue level and appears in the refreshed Products list.
