View the Clock in/out Board

Use the Clock in/out board to see staff assigned to Harbor Soho and whether each person is currently on location. Managers can also open the Attendance list from this screen to review attendance records and corrections.

In this article

The Clock in/out board is the attendance overview for the active location. In the GB demo, Harbor Soho shows staff cards for Olivia Hart, Mason Reed, Noah Stone and Ava Price.

Use this guide to view the board, read staff status and focus a staff card. Entry, Exit, manual attendance and correction actions are separate workflows.

Before you start

  • You are signed in and working in the correct organisation and location context, for example Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho.
  • The location exists and is selected. If the organisation or location context is missing, the page shows a not found state.
  • The location has staff records. Harbor Soho in the GB demo runtime has four staff examples.
  • Your role has the required attendance access: staff-shifts:notify for the staff card board, staff-shifts:manage for the Attendance list button and corrections summary, and backend staff:view for loading staff.
  • For staff self-service without staff-shifts:notify or staff-shifts:manage, the staff query must match the staff profile linked to the signed-in user.

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Open Clock in/out

From Harbor Soho, open Clock in/out from the location home card, the side navigation, or the contextual route ${APP_DEEPLINK_BASE}${ORG_ID}/${LOCATION_ID}/attendance. The page title is Clock in/out and the description is Register entry and exit corrections for staff shifts.

  2. 2.

    Read the staff cards

Scan the staff cards for the active location. Each card represents one staff member and uses full name when available, then email, then id. A green status indicator means staff.on_location is true for that person.

  3. 3.

    Focus a staff member

Select a staff card when you need to focus on one employee. The selected card flips to show Entry and Exit actions. Opening ${APP_DEEPLINK_BASE}${ORG_ID}/${LOCATION_ID}/attendance?staff=${STAFF_ID} preselects Olivia Hart when that staff id is available to the user.

  4. 4.

    Open Attendance list

If you manage attendance corrections, use Attendance list to move from the board to LocationAttendanceCorrections. The button is visible only with staff-shifts:manage and can show the number of pending staff shift corrections when the summary is available.

Validations and limits

  • If the user has no staff-shifts:notify access, no staff-shifts:manage access and no valid own-staff self-service context, the page shows the no access state.
  • While staff are loading, the page shows Loading staff.... If no staff are available, it shows No staff available.
  • If the staff query value does not match an available staff member, no card is preselected.
  • staff-shifts:view alone does not open the staff card board in the frontend.
  • The board does not apply from and to date filters to the staff card grid. Date range filters belong to the corrections view.
  • There is no single backend attendance-board endpoint; the screen composes the board from staff, correction summary and selected-staff shift data.

Expected result

Managers can review Harbor Soho attendance status from the staff card board, focus Olivia Hart or another available staff member when needed, and open the Attendance list for corrections without performing any clock-in or clock-out action.
