View the reservations report
Use the Reservations performance report to review booking volume for the selected location, compare outcomes, see which channels reservations came from, and identify the busiest local days and hours.
In this article
The Reservations report is a read-only view for location managers and operations leads. It brings together reservation totals, outcome counts, booking origins and the most reserved time slots for the selected location.
For the GB demo, the guide uses Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho. Periods and the heatmap are calculated in the location time zone, so Harbor Soho uses Europe/London time.
Before you start
- You are signed in with Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho selected.
- Harbor Soho exists with the Europe/London time zone configured.
- You have at least one accepted location permission: `reports:view`, `tpv:view`, `tpv:use`, `catalog:view`, `reservation:view` or `staff:view`.
- The report is scoped to one selected location; this route does not aggregate multiple locations.
Instructions
- 1.
Open the report
Open Reports, then Performance, then Reservations for Harbor Soho. The direct app route is `/:orgId/:locationId/reporting/performance/reservations`.
- 2.
Set the reporting period
Use the period filter to review the default current week or compare selected date ranges. Changing the filter updates the `periods` query parameter and reloads the dashboard data.
- 3.
Read the totals
Review Total, Received, Cancelled and No-show reservations. Waitlist and hold reservations are excluded from these totals, and the page does not create, update or delete reservations.
- 4.
Compare origins
Use Reservations by origin to compare Web, Phone, Walk-in and Other bookings. When two periods are selected, the table compares the latest selected period with the previous one.
- 5.
Review busy slots
Scroll to Most reserved times to inspect the heatmap. It groups reservations by local day and hour for Harbor Soho, from Monday to Sunday and 00 to 23.
Validations and limits
- If no organisation or location is selected, the page asks the operator to select a location and does not load the report.
- If the operator lacks the accepted permissions, the page shows a no-permission message and the backend access check can deny the request.
- The `periods` parameter uses `YYYY-MM-DD_YYYY-MM-DD`, with multiple periods separated by `~`; invalid or missing periods fall back to default periods.
- Periods are normalised to complete local days; if the end date is before the start date, it is adjusted to the start day.
- The report data is loaded through `GET /api/app/{orgId}/{locationId}/reports`, which returns the full reporting dashboard, not only the reservations page.
- If `pages.reservations` is missing from the dashboard response, the page shows that the report configuration was not found.
- The heatmap appears only when `popular-slots` is returned as `heatmap-comparison`; otherwise the section shows an empty report panel.
- Hover tooltips for heatmap cells are available only on web, and card export is not available on native clients.
Expected result
The manager can read reservation volume, outcomes, channel mix and high-demand booking slots for Harbor Soho without changing any reservations or report configuration.
