Search within reporting tables

Filter supported catalogue reporting tables locally by product or category name before reading or exporting the visible rows.

In this article

Supported reporting tables include a search field above the table so managers can narrow long catalogue reports without leaving the page.

The search uses rows already loaded for the selected reporting periods. Typing in the field does not change the period filter or request a new report from the backend.

Before you start

  • You are signed in with Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho selected.
  • Your location permissions include at least one of `reports:view`, `tpv:view`, `tpv:use`, `catalog:view`, `reservation:view` or `staff:view`.
  • Open a searchable catalogue report: `/:orgId/:locationId/reporting/catalog/products` or `/:orgId/:locationId/reporting/catalog/categories`.
  • For a useful filtered capture, the selected reporting periods should include sold catalogue rows such as Fish and chips, Beef pie or Sticky toffee pudding.

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Open a searchable catalogue report

Open the Products or Categories report for Harbor Soho. Antylogic loads the reporting dashboard for the selected periods before the table can be searched.

  2. 2.

    Find the table search field

Use the search input above the supported table. On Products this is the Products sold table; on Categories this is the Categories table.

  3. 3.

    Type part of a name

Enter part of the product or category name. The table updates immediately using a partial, case-insensitive match against the first visible cell.

  4. 4.

Review or export the filtered rows

Read the remaining rows after the filter is applied. If export rows are available, exporting the table uses the same filtered row set.

Validations and limits

  • If no location is selected, the report asks the operator to select a location instead of loading data.
  • If the operator cannot access reports for the location, the page shows a permissions message and does not load the dashboard.
  • The search field appears only when the table payload includes `search_placeholder`; current supported live and fixture blocks are `sold-products` and `categories-table`.
  • A blank query, or a query containing only spaces, shows all loaded rows.
  • Matching uses only the first visible cell: product name on Products and category name on Categories.
  • If no row matches, the table shows the empty copy supplied by reporting or the generic no-results message.
  • The query is local to the table. It is not saved in the URL, backend or shared app state.

Expected result

The table view is narrowed to rows matching the local query, and clearing the field restores all rows loaded for the current reporting periods.
