Change Product Quantity
Update the quantity of an existing product line on a TPV ticket. Antylogic keeps the same ticket item, recalculates the line and ticket totals, and refreshes the payment state from payments and allocations.
In this article
Use this guide when a front-of-house operator needs to increase or reduce an item quantity on an open TPV ticket at Harbor Soho.
The change updates the existing product line. To remove the product from the ticket, use the separate remove-item action.
Before you start
- Open an editable TPV ticket for the active Harbor Soho location.
- The ticket must not be void or closed, and the product line must still be visible on the ticket.
- If KDS is enabled, use an item that is not sent, preparing, or ready.
- Use a staff session with `tickets:manage`, or `tpv:use` for the open service session linked to the ticket.
- For discounted items, the staff member also needs `tpv:discount` or `tickets:manage`.
Instructions
- 1.
Open The Ticket
Open the ticket detail from the floor view or the direct ticket link. In the GB documentation runtime, use the Harbor Soho ticket identified by `TPV_TICKET_ID`, with `TPV_TERMINAL_ID` and `TPV_STAFF_ID`.
- 2.
Select The Product Line
Tap an editable product row to open the item editor, or reveal the row actions to use the quick plus and minus controls. Use an item such as Fish and chips or Beef pie only if it is already present on the selected ticket.
- 3.
Change The Quantity
Press plus to increase the quantity or minus to reduce it. The UI does not reduce quantity below 1, and the update keeps the item name, product, unit price, notes, service pass, order, discount, tax, kitchen status, and payment status unless another action changes them.
- 4.
Check The Result
Confirm that the product line shows the new quantity and that the item total and ticket totals have refreshed. Existing payments can make the ticket paid, partially paid, or pending after the recalculation.
Validations and limits
- The ticket belongs to the active `/api/app/{orgId}/{locationId}` location.
- The selected item still exists on the ticket and is editable under the ticket and kitchen-state rules.
- The UI does not reduce quantity below 1; removing the line is a separate action.
- The item total reflects quantity, unit price, discount, and tax.
- The ticket subtotal, tax, total, and payment state refresh after the server response.
Expected result
The ticket keeps one product line for the item, with the updated quantity, recalculated line total, refreshed ticket totals, and a payment state synced from ticket payments and item allocations.
