View TPV Floor Plan
Open the Tables tab in the TPV for Harbor Soho to monitor the active service floor plan, read table states, and decide whether to open a ticket, review a reservation, or start a new account for available tables.
In this article
The TPV floor plan gives floor staff a live operating view of the active Harbor Soho service. It combines the table layout with open tickets, assigned reservations, customer context and terminal state so staff can act from the same workspace during service.
Use this guide when an operator needs to understand table availability during service and move from a table into the correct TPV action.
Before you start
- You are signed in to Harbor Demo Group with Harbor Soho selected as the current location.
- Your role includes permission to use the TPV for the location.
- A service session is already open for Harbor Soho, such as Soho lunch service.
- The active service has a floor layout available, or Harbor Soho has a default floor layout.
- If TPV operator selection is enabled, Olivia Hart or another authorised TPV staff member is selected before entering the workspace.
Instructions
- 1.
Open the Tables tab
Open the Harbor Soho TPV at `${APP_DEEPLINK_BASE}${ORG_ID}/${LOCATION_ID}/tpv?tab=floor`. A missing or unsupported TPV tab falls back to Tables, so the operator lands on the floor workspace when the TPV route is valid.
- 2.
Confirm the active service
Check that Soho lunch service or another open service session is loaded before reading the floor plan. If no service session is open, the canvas is not shown and the operator is moved into the service-opening flow.
- 3.
Read table states
Review each table in the layout. Tables without an active ticket or valid reservation are available. Assigned reservations appear reserved unless they are cancelled or marked no-show. Open tickets make tables occupied, partially paid tickets show as to pay, and paid tickets show as paid.
- 4.
Act from a table
Select a table according to its state. A table with a ticket opens the ticket detail. A reserved table opens the reservation modal with customer and reservation context. One or more available tables can be selected to prepare the Create account action.
- 5.
Keep the plan readable
Use Zoom out, Zoom in and Fit on web, or pan and pinch on native devices, to keep the canvas readable while service data refreshes. If the layout cannot be resolved or loaded, the Tables tab shows the empty floor-plan state instead of an interactive canvas.
Validations and limits
- Without `tpv:use`, the TPV workspace is blocked and the no-permission state is shown.
- Without an open service session, the floor plan is not shown and the operator enters the service-opening flow.
- If employee access mode requires a selected operator, the floor plan remains hidden until an authorised TPV employee is selected.
- Only available tables remain selected for creating a new account; occupied, paid, to-pay and reserved tables are excluded.
- Tickets marked void or closed, and reservations marked cancelled or no-show, do not occupy tables on the floor plan.
Expected result
The operator can read the live Harbor Soho floor plan, understand available, reserved, occupied, to-pay and paid table states, and move from a table into the correct TPV action without leaving the active service context.
