Open a manual service
Open the Harbor Soho POS floor when no service is active and the operator does not want to use a public calendar occurrence. The operator chooses Manual service, confirms Open service, and Antylogic creates the internal service context needed by the floor.
In this article
Use this guide when the front-of-house team needs to start POS operations immediately from the Floor tab, without choosing a booking or public calendar service.
A manual service creates an internal TPV context only. It does not open the till, create tickets, capture payments, send output jobs, or create invoices.
Before you start
- Signed in as Harbor Demo User with Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho selected.
- The operator has TPV access for Harbor Soho.
- Harbor Soho has no service session currently open.
- Use the route antylogic://${ORG_ID}/${LOCATION_ID}/tpv?tab=floor for captures.
- For GB captures, verify the demo runtime first because the manual option is hidden when an active service already exists.
Instructions
- 1.
Open the POS floor
Open Harbor Soho TPV and select the Floor tab. When there is no active service, the screen shows the no-active-service state and offers Open service.
- 2.
Choose Manual service
Open the service action and select Manual service. Use this option when the POS needs to start now without linking the session to a booking or public calendar service.
- 3.
Confirm Open service
Confirm Open service in the modal. The app opens the service session and returns the operator to the active POS floor.
- 4.
Continue POS operations
Use the active floor for later POS work. Till opening, ticket creation, production jobs, payments and invoicing stay in their own separate flows.
Validations and limits
- If the operator lacks TPV access, the POS screen shows a no-access state instead of the floor.
- If an active service is already open, the manual-open option is not available and a second open session is rejected.
- Keep this flow separate from Closest service or calendar occurrence opening.
- The manual service context is internal to TPV and must not be documented as a public booking service.
- Do not document staff selection, terminal routing, till opening, ticket creation, payment capture, output jobs or invoicing as part of this unit action.
Expected result
Harbor Soho has one open service session and the POS floor is ready for service operations without selecting a scheduled calendar occurrence.
