Confirm a waitlist reservation
Convert a guest from the Harbor Soho service waitlist into a confirmed booking by choosing a viable slot suggested by the waitlist analysis.
In this article
Use this guide when a guest is waiting for a service and the waitlist analysis has found a viable slot. In the GB demo, the example is Sara Molina on the Harbor Soho waitlist.
The operator opens `Lista de espera`, reviews the suggested slots, selects the time and duration to offer, then uses `Confirmar` to move the reservation from `waitlist` to `booked`.
Before you start
- Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho are selected, and the operator opens the service occurrence for `BOOKING_WAITLIST_OCCURRENCE_ID`.
- The occurrence is still in `waiting_list` booking mode and includes Sara Molina as a `waitlist` reservation.
- The waitlist analysis shows at least one viable slot for Sara Molina.
- The operator can open the waitlist analysis and has `reservation:manage` permission to complete the confirmation.
- For capture work, set `OPTIMIZATION_WAITLIST_SLOT_LABEL` to the exact visible slot label before running Maestro.
Instructions
- 1.
Open the waitlist
From the service occurrence detail, use the main `Lista de espera` action. The modal opens the waitlist analysis and lists the guests currently waiting for the service.
- 2.
Review Sara Molina's slots
Expand Sara Molina and review the suggested slots. The modal can show the proposed time, tables, metrics, and a split-service label when the slot comes from a split service option.
- 3.
Select the slot to offer
Choose the viable slot the restaurant wants to offer. The `Confirmar` action is available only while the selection still matches a reservation and slot from the current analysis.
- 4.
Confirm the booking
Tap `Confirmar` to update the reservation to `booked` with the selected start time and duration. After saving, the occurrence, reservations, assignments, and waitlist analysis refresh, and the operator sees `Reserva confirmada`.
Validations and limits
- If the occurrence is no longer in `waiting_list` mode, the modal closes after refresh.
- A waitlisted reservation with no viable slots cannot be confirmed from this modal.
- If the selected slot disappears after refresh, the selection is cleared and `Confirmar` is no longer available.
- The selected slot must still be available when the system recalculates availability during confirmation.
- View-only access can be enough to inspect parts of the waitlist flow, but completing the promotion requires `reservation:manage`.
- The confirmation does not send the suggested table IDs. Existing table assignments are preserved, but a previously unassigned waitlist reservation is not automatically assigned to the suggested tables.
Expected result
Sara Molina's reservation is confirmed as `booked` at the selected start time and duration. The waitlist either refreshes without that pending reservation or closes if the occurrence leaves waitlist mode.
