View Occurrence Statistics
Use the Summary tab in a service occurrence to compare reservation counts and guest totals by status, with arrival pacing by time slot when eligible reservation data is available.
In this article
This guide is for reservation operators and front-of-house managers who need a read-only service briefing before the floor team starts work. The Summary tab turns the occurrence reservation list into operational status totals and, when possible, an arrivals chart.
In the GB demo runtime, use the Harbor Soho service occurrence for Soho lunch service. The Summary tab cannot be opened directly from a route, so the operator opens the occurrence detail first and then selects Summary.
Before you start
- Work in the correct organisation and location, such as Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho in the GB demo runtime.
- Have reservation viewing access for the location. The inspected read endpoints require `reservation:view`.
- Open a service occurrence that belongs to the active location and whose calendar event is a service event.
- Ensure reservations for the occurrence can be loaded with `occurrence_id`. This guide does not require or perform any reservation changes.
Instructions
- 1.
Open the service occurrence
From the reservations calendar or a contextual link, open the occurrence detail. For GB captures, use `${APP_DEEPLINK_BASE}${ORG_ID}/${LOCATION_ID}/reservations/${RESERVATION_OCCURRENCE_ID}?returnRoute=LocationReservationsCalendar&returnMode=week`.
- 2.
Select Summary
Choose Summary in the occurrence detail tab row. On mobile, List, Schedule and Summary are available in a horizontal tab row. If schedule draft changes are pending, resolve the confirmation before switching tabs.
- 3.
Read Reservation status
Use Reservation status to compare hold, booked, seated, waitlist, noshow and cancelled reservations. Each status card shows reservation count and total people count for that status.
- 4.
Read Arrivals by time slot
When visible, use Arrivals by time slot to see how guests are distributed across reservation start times. The chart includes physical-table reservations only, excludes waitlist, cancelled and noshow, and ignores invalid `start_at` values.
- 5.
Brief the team
Use the figures to compare booked guests, seated guests, waitlist pressure and cancellations before service. The Summary tab is read-only and does not edit, cancel, reassign or create reservations.
Validations and limits
- If organisation, location or `occurrenceId` is missing, the app shows a not-found state instead of the occurrence detail.
- If the occurrence cannot be loaded, belongs to another location or is not a service event, the statistics view is not available.
- The status totals use the full reservation list for the occurrence, not the current List tab search or status filter.
- Arrivals by time slot is intentionally absent when the occurrence has no eligible physical-table reservations with valid start times.
- There is no separate `/stats` endpoint for this view; the Summary tab calculates the figures in the frontend from `Reservation[]`.
Expected result
The operator can review reservation status totals, guest counts and eligible arrival pacing for the service occurrence without changing any reservation data.
