Reopen Occurrence

Reopen one completed Harbor Soho reservation service occurrence so confirmed reservation intake can resume when the remaining booking rules allow it.

Use this guide when a Harbor Soho service occurrence has been marked complete and front-of-house needs to accept confirmed reservations again.

The action changes only the selected occurrence to acceptance_state open. It does not edit the recurring service, move existing reservations, assign tables, promote waitlisted guests or bypass booking constraints.

Before you start

  • The operator is signed in with Harbor Demo Group selected and Harbor Soho as the active location.
  • The operator has reservation:manage for Harbor Soho. View-only users can load the occurrence detail but cannot use the enabled Settings/Configuraciones action.
  • The target occurrence detail is open from the Reservations calendar or /:orgId/:locationId/reservations/:occurrenceId.
  • The occurrence is currently completed. If it is already open, the menu shows Marcar completo instead of Permitir más reservas.

Instructions

    Open the completed occurrence

    Open the Harbor Soho reservation occurrence detail for the service occurrence that should accept confirmed reservations again. Confirm the detail loads and the occurrence is shown as Completo.

    Open Settings/Configuraciones

    Select Settings/Configuraciones in the occurrence header. For a completed occurrence, the menu includes Permitir más reservas, the action that reopens confirmed reservation intake.

    Select Permitir más reservas

    Choose Permitir más reservas. The app closes the menu and submits the reopen action immediately, without a separate confirmation modal.

    Confirm the refreshed state

    Wait for the detail page to refresh. Open Settings/Configuraciones again if needed and confirm that Marcar completo is now available as the reverse action.

  5. 5.

    Check booking constraints

    Treat the occurrence as reopened for confirmed intake only after the normal booking rules are also satisfied. Booking mode, waitlist mode, capacity, table availability, public booking visibility, optimiser rules and date restrictions still apply.

Validations and limits

  • Permitir más reservas is shown only when the selected occurrence has acceptance_state completed.
  • Settings/Configuraciones is enabled only for users who can manage reservations and while no relevant update is already pending.
  • The screen does not submit the action if the occurrence is missing, the occurrenceId is missing or the user cannot manage reservations.
  • The current UI sends PUT /api/app/{orgId}/{locationId}/service-occurrences/{occurrenceId}/acceptance-state with acceptance_state open; the backend also supports PATCH with the same payload.
  • Only open and completed are valid acceptance states for this update.
  • Existing reservations remain unchanged, waitlisted customers are not promoted automatically, and table assignments are only refetched after the mutation.
  • Reopening removes the completed-state block only; waitlist mode, capacity, public booking visibility, optimiser results and date rules can still block confirmed intake.

Expected result

The selected occurrence is open again, the detail refreshes, and Settings/Configuraciones now offers Marcar completo. Confirmed reservation intake is no longer blocked by the completed state, but all other booking rules still apply.
