Promote a Waitlisted Reservation

Confirm a Harbor Soho waitlisted reservation from a suggested waitlist-analysis slot, with availability revalidated before the booking is saved.

Use this workflow when a waiting-list occurrence has at least one pending reservation and Antylogic suggests a viable slot. In the GB demo, the operator promotes Sara Molina at Harbor Soho.

The action updates the existing reservation to `booked` with the selected start time and duration. It does not create a new reservation, rebuild customer details, or treat suggested table names as automatic table assignments.

Before you start

  • The operator is signed in with Harbor Demo Group and Harbor Soho selected.
  • The operator can open `/:orgId/:locationId/reservations/:occurrenceId` for `BOOKING_WAITLIST_OCCURRENCE_ID`.
  • The occurrence is still in `waiting_list` booking mode, so the `Lista de espera` action is visible.
  • The waitlist analysis includes Sara Molina through `OPTIMIZATION_WAITLIST_RESERVATION_LABEL` and at least one viable slot.
  • The operator has `reservation:manage` for the final confirmation. Loading the analysis also depends on `reservation-automatic:use`.

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Open the waitlist occurrence

    Open the Harbor Soho reservation occurrence from the detail route and check that the primary `Lista de espera` action is available.

  2. 2.

    Load the waitlist analysis

    Select `Lista de espera`. Antylogic loads the waitlist analysis and keeps the modal open only while the occurrence still reports `waiting_list` booking mode.

  3. 3.

    Choose Sara Molina's slot

    Expand Sara Molina, review the suggested slots, and select the viable slot to use for the confirmed booking. Once the selection matches a current reservation and slot, `Confirmar` appears.

  4. 4.

    Confirm the promotion

    Select `Confirmar`. Antylogic updates the existing reservation to `booked` with the selected slot start time and duration, while customer, channel, party size, notes, preferences, and restrictions remain unchanged by this UI action.

  5. 5.

    Verify the refreshed state

    Wait for the occurrence, reservations, assignments, and waitlist analysis to refresh. On success, Antylogic shows `La reserva ha salido de la lista de espera.` and clears the selected slot.

Validations and limits

  • Without `reservation:manage` or `reservation:view`, the detail page shows an access error instead of the occurrence.
  • If the analysis returns no pending waitlist reservations, the modal shows `No hay reservas pendientes en lista de espera.` and no confirmation action is available.
  • If Sara Molina has no viable slot, the expanded row shows `Ahora mismo no hay una franja viable para esta reserva.`
  • If the selected reservation or slot disappears after refresh, Antylogic clears the selection and hides `Confirmar`.
  • The backend recalculates optimizer availability during confirmation and rejects the promotion if the selected time and duration no longer match a viable slot.
  • If confirmation fails, Antylogic shows `No pudimos confirmar la reserva seleccionada.` and reloads `waitlist-analysis?force=true`.
  • Suggested table names in the slot are availability evidence only; this promotion payload does not send `table_ids`.

Expected result

Sara Molina leaves the visible waitlist analysis, and the existing reservation is booked with the selected `start_at` and `duration_minutes`.
